The homeowner had a small patio with pavers and a pergola.
The fire pit added a bit of flare to this project. It is 14’6″ and has 26′ of seating around it. The indirect, low-voltage lighting around it really illuminates the entire space. Gas lanterns were installed on the columns as well. We also added the pavers with grass between alongside the patio area.
Getting a peak into the covered area, we see this project is tied into the garage and creates a breezeway from the garage to the back door of the home. The vaulted ceiling and gabled roof that is centered on the home’s fireplace gives this 900 SF a very open feel.
As a part of this covered area, the homeowner wanted to have the space to have an outdoor dining area. This is set up so it is right outside the kitchen area for ease of setting up the table.
As a part of this project, the homeowner wanted to have a Jacuzzi installed. We built out the area under one end of the patio cover to have that happen. We added composite decking around it to frame out the hot tub.
The ceiling is just a hardie finish that has been painted to match the soffits of the home. The columns and beams are also wrapped in hardie and painted a complementary color. The columns do have a stone base that matches the stone used for the fire pit and seating. The flooring is 16X24 travertine in classic ivory.
