This room addition was built to serve in several capacities: an at home office, a pool house/game room, or a mother-in-law suite. It is located off the third car garage and is equipped with a full bathroom, storage closet, a small kitchenette and has a sizable room with vaulted ceilings and double sliding doors that open up to the patio by the pool. For the room addition’s exterior surface stucco was chosen to complement the existing brick and stucco already used on the home. The orientation of the new room to the existing home allows for privacy, yet it is an inclusive part for home entertaining. It has a seamless tie-in to the existing roof lines, so it looks as if it had been built with the home.

Storage & Service Space
This room addition creates a perfect space to work in while at home or can be converted into a mother-in-law suite when the time arises.
Ceiling & Floor
The interior of the room has high, vaulted ceilings with faux wood beams and casement windows and sliding doors for optimal views. Pocket doors were used on the closet and bathroom to optimize space. The floor throughout the addition is a tile.
Full Bathroom
The full bathroom has a walk-in shower with a frameless glass door and wall to make the space seem larger.
Bathroom & Mechanical
The bathroom area is accessible from the outside as well, for use by swimmers during the swim season or guests while entertaining in the outdoor living space that is connected. It is equipped with an instant hot water heater and a 1-ton air conditioning unit.
Renovated Patio Cover
Along with the room addition, the patio cover received an upgrade to the columns and ceiling. An outdoor kitchen was also added.
Outdoor Kitchen
The outdoor kitchen was finished to match the room addition with stucco fascia and granite counters.
