This homeowner had a beautiful pool on the back of their home, but wanted to add an outdoor living room with a fire feature and outdoor kitchen area.
Before
This was at the beginning of construction, but as you can see the back of the home needed an expanded outdoor living space.
Under the Cover
A total of 550SF of covered space was added to the home. We designed an L-shaped patio cover to extend the original covered area and go around the end of the pool. The space is defined by a wall that gives the family complete privacy from the neighbors – truly making it an outdoor room.
Custom Fire Place
The fire feature is a custom gas fire place with a granite face and Star Fyre glass. The granite is from Pomigranite and the Fyre glass is from Cunningham Living. The wall has window cut outs to help with ventalation.
Flooring and Ceiling
The flooring is a 16×32 exterior porcelain tile from Thorntree. The ceiling is Smokey Bourbon prestained tongue and groove made by Woodtone.
Outdoor Kitchen
Due to the configuration of the outdoor space the kitchen is separated by a wall. This part of the kitchen is perfect for serving meals. Appliances are from Cunningham Living and S.T.E.D. and include a sink, ice maker, fridge and wine fridge. Counter top is from Omni Surfaces.
Outdoor Kitchen
The grilling station is just around the corner and is equipped with an RCS grill, Proline vent hood and storage. Counter top is Mont Blanc Quartzite from Omni Surfaces.

Like the sign says, having this space right outside the backdoor allows this homeowner to live the dream.
