At TCP Custom Outdoor Living (formerly Texas Custom Patios), we design patio covers that are both functional and beautiful. We use only wood frame construction – the same type of construction used on your home.
We design and build custom freestanding patio covers, gazebos, pool houses and cabanas. “Custom” means that we’ll design according to your preferences while one of our project developers gives you expert advice.
We design and build screened porches or screen rooms that do more than keep out mosquitoes. We offer a woven mesh screen that blocks 80% to 90% of the sun’s rays to keep your patio cooler. Plus, the screening we use protects against pet damage, resists mildew and fading, provides ventilation, and cleans up easily with soap and water.

When you choose to build with us, you get your own project team who will get to know you, your goals, your style, and will oversee your entire outdoor living project, from start to finish.
Reach Out
We will set up a virtual appointment with one of our experienced project developers who can provide information, examples, and potentially sketch out ideas—no need to walk around the backyard with your computer.
Prepare
After your initial consultation, we may need to visit your home to gather additional information. If we can provide an outdoor living project that meets your budget, we’ll create a proposal for you.
Proposal
Your project developer will schedule a meeting with you to go over your proposal and answer any questions. After your project developer visits with you, we will provide you with a proposal that includes an exact quote for your project. On average, the proposal will be completed in about 10 days.
Sign & Design
Once the contract is signed, you and your project team will arrange to view samples and make final selections for your project. We will include a design drawing with specifications, dimensions, rendered views, and elevations so you can see what the project will look like after completion.
Permits
Some areas require a permit or HOA approval for outdoor living projects. The only thing your project developer needs in order to get the necessary approvals is a copy of your lot survey. We will provide all of the additional required information.
Shipping Materials
Materials are ordered in-time for construction of your project. Some materials are readily available, while others require special order. You will make selections on stone and other materials quickly after the contract is signed in order to ensure everything is ready when needed.
Building Begins
Your project will be managed by an expert duo consisting of your project developer and a dedicated project manager. As a team, they will ensure your dream outdoor living space will be designed as communicated. The team will work with you throughout the duration of the project and will be available via email or phone before, during, and after construction.
Live It Out
When your project’s complete, your dedicated team will walk through the outdoor living space with you, ensuring you’re completely satisfied with the finished project. We take pride in our high-quality work and want you to be delighted with your new space that will hold up for years to come.
