The Original Client Vision
The homeowners imagined a larger, more open outdoor living space that would allow them to enjoy their backyard more fully. They wanted to replace the cramped cover, remove the obstructive knee wall, add an outdoor kitchen, and resolve ongoing drainage issues.
The Custom Outdoor Solution
TCP removed the existing low flat ceiling and knee wall, immediately eliminating what made the space feel closed in. The vaulted ceiling dramatically opened up the area, creating an elegant outdoor room with architectural height and better airflow.
New concrete was poured to expand the footprint, and a new gable roof structure was built and tied into the home so that the addition appears original.
A full 15’ outdoor kitchen was added along one wall, and the patio was extended past the cover to increase usable space.
