When it comes to garage space, there can definitely be too much of a good thing. In this case, the homeowners came to us with a home with a 3-bay garage.  The family did not need all of the space and wanted to reimagine their backyard in a way they could really enjoy. 

So, together, we created a custom outdoor living space built specifically for their needs, with a much-needed shade and relaxation area by their pool. 

To create the new, 250SF space, TCP removed the outer walls of the garage and added columns for support.  A new wall was built to create the back wall of the patio cover.

One of our goals was to enhance their already family friendly yard – a pool, a putting green, a corner firepit area, and plenty of space behind the garage for soccer practice.

To make room for cooking and dining, we added a 25-foot outdoor kitchen with plenty of prep and serving space. The kitchen includes an ice maker from S.T.E.D. as well as RCS brand appliances from Cunningham Living. A 30’ Cutlass Pro Grill, doors and drawers, and an outdoor rated refrigerator. The counter is leathered White Fantasy granite from DalTile. The 12”X24” porcelain tile is Legacy White from QDI Surfaces.

The space transitions seamlessly from the home and, more importantly, gives the homeowner the ability to utilize their backyard in a way they desired.

Now complete, the new patio structure is a summer-time dream: plenty of room for inviting over friends and family and making memories in their own backyard.
